What would the best frachisee option for 2 lakh investment?

Post by enidhi on Fri Feb 01 2008, 04:46

If one can invest around Rs 2 lakh, what would be the best franchisee he or she can take?

Franchisee of Cafe coffee Day? What other options we have?

Welcome to MTIFF Suren,

I do not know for sure but I feel Rs 2 lakh is very small amount to take franchisee of brokerage house (because busiss volume will be in crores, giving franchisee to someone who deposits only 2 lakh can be risky...

Hi Srini,

Welcome to Moneytalk... But is it possible to set up playshool franchisee with just 2 lakhs? I guess more will be required for the land, infra and admin expenses...

Surely required capital will be much more then 2L, space can be taken on rent .. ,

Major cost heads will be

Rental deposit 3.5L
Franchisee fee ?
Furniture/Toys/Study Material/Interior - 2L

Other small expenses

Advertisement - 25K
Any regularity expenses - 25K
Advance salary

Most of these school takes 2/3rd of the year' fee in beginning itself .. That will give enough capital to pay back capital expenditure and salaries.

working backward

Minimum enrollment required :

Play enrollment - 12 ( 1.5 Yr +)
Nursery enrollment - 20 ( 2.8 yr +)
LKG enrollment - 10 ( 3.5 Yr +)
---------------------------------------

42 Children x 25k fee = 1050000

Expenses :

Rental : 35k x 12 = 4.2L
3 teachers x 60 k = 1.8L
3 maids x 45 k = 1.35L
Stationery/consumables = .30L
Utility = .15L
---------------------------
7.80L

Any regularity expenses - 25K

Depreciation (33%) - 70k
Interest on rental deposit - 42k @12%
__________________________
1.62L
Total Expenses 9.42L
