Repower inks contract with German firm for 74.8 MW project

Suzlon Energy’s arm REpower Systems has signed a contract with German wind farm project developer Denker & Wulf AG, for the delivery of 22 wind turbines to a new project of 74.8 MW in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany.

The contract includes a 15-year integrated service package (ISP) which covers project servicing and maintenance, in addition to delivery and installation of the turbines. The project will be constructed by 2012.

Mr. Jens Müller-Nielsen, Managing Director said that ?The long-term partnership with Denker & Wulf AG, which has already been behind numerous successful projects in the past, is confirmed with this project.

With more than 730 MW of installed wind energy capacity, Denker & Wulf is among Germany’s leading wind farm project developers, and also specializes in operational management and repowering.

REpower Systems AG has supplied 960 wind turbines for the German market with a total output of more than 1,620 MW. REpower Systems GmbH will bundle sales, project management and service for the core markets of Germany and Austria allowing the company to sustainably strengthen its position in these growth markets over the coming years.
